In this report for the DOT, we analyzed how the COVID pandemic impacted air traffic to communities across the United States, with particular emphasis on small communities and their ability to connect through air transit.

We looked at route, service, and fare characteristics for every domestic commercial flight flown in the US from January 2018 to June 2022, developing statistical tools to differentiate effects along community size, COVID intensity, and seasonality of demand.
